A2 Connect, the Arts & Education Network – Central South is seeking teachers to join our team of Arts Champions for the region. We will provide funding to schools to cover the release of one of their staff members to short periods of time to promote best practice in creative arts teaching, peer to peer training, mentoring and advocating working with artists in the classroom. During their time as an Arts Champion they will be encouraged to develop their own expertise attending events training and making study visits.
Applicants may be qualified teachers or teaching assistants and must be keen to share their; creativity, skills, experience, expertise and most of all enthusiasm with other teachers and schools.
Each champion is expected to commit to the scheme for the period of at least one year, after this point their participation and ongoing engagement with the network and associated events will be encouraged and where possible funding and support provided but not guaranteed.
