Join Into Film Cymru and A2 Connects for a training session focusing on Into Film’s Film in a Fortnight resource.
Into Film’s new Film in a Fortnight resource has been produced by teachers and is tailored to be delivered with KS2 pupils, however, the activities can be adapted to suit KS1 and KS3.
During this session, Into Film will provide an overview of their Film in a Fortnight resource for teachers and talk you through its various interactive activities designed to support teachers to introduce learning through and about film. Many of the activities have also been tailored to help you meet key learning objectives linked to the digital literacy and literacy frameworks.
Furthermore Film in a Fortnight has been developed to help teachers introduce film in line with the developments within the new curriculum for Wales and in particular the introduction of film as an element within the Expressive Arts Area of Learning and Experience.
The Film in a Fortnight resource provides specific structure on how to introduce the process of exploring and learning through film; how to respond, analyse and deconstruct a film, thus leading to greater knowledge and skills on how to make films.
Into Film’s session will be followed by a presentation by Into Film Teacher of the Year, Rhys Roberts from Llanharan Primary School who will explain how he has effectively used film to engage, inspire and motivate his learners.
6 June: 9am – 12pm
Llanharan Primary School, Llanharan
